“A Rosé with unusual power and drive” *
“The aromas are fresh and grapey… while the palate is intense and fresh, dry and crisp, with very good flavour concentration and length."

The 2019 growing season had many contrasts. The winter (2018) was very dry and the spring rains didn’t arrive until summer, with good rains in November and December. The season was warm and dry from mid-January until harvest. The hottest day for summer was 38.6°C. Grapes were handpicked, and destemmed, juice was run-off immediately after de-stemming. The juice was oxidatively handled and the wine was fermented using native yeast at a cool 18°C.
"The wine is a pale, bright almost luminous salmon pink. The wine has an enticing field berry fruit aroma and a funky edge from lees contact. The clean, tight palate opens to some mid-mouth flesh where the enticing field berries are also evident. This is a dry Rosé of some class. The savoury dry finish will make it a great wine for the table." PS
