Seven Heaven Chardonnay
“Opens with aromas of grapefruit, white peach, cashew and hints of toast.
The wine is elegant and seamless with attractive roundness, creamy mid-palate texture and well integrated oak. Lovely threads of citrus acidity carries through to the long flavourful finish. Beautifully balanced.”

- Tasting Notes
The 2016 growing season was warm and dry. The spring rains set up the season and good rains in January allowed very good flavour development whilst maintaining natural acid. The vintage was a couple of weeks ahead of the typical. The hottest day for summer was 35.6°C. The fruit is from Block 11 at Koomooloo, American clones – V1 & V5. Block 11 has a southerly aspect with a moderate slope. The grapes were handpicked early in the morning, chilled and whole bunch pressed (1200L basket press) to tank to remove heavy solids. The juice was racked to barrel later the same day.
Excellent light straw yellow/green hue.
Rich intense nutty aromas bright varietal, integrated oak very youthful Flavours restrained bright elegant but very focused, the oak, autolysed yeast lees adds complexity and weight. It has long intense fruit finish. PS
